In times of crisis, independent food supply plays a central role – also in the handling of farm animals and traditional knowledge.
Keeping chickens is an important part of the school's agricultural program and provides practical knowledge about sustainable food systems. Students learn how to care for animals appropriately and understand the entire value chain of food production: from raising the animals to processing them.
The curriculum also imparts fundamental knowledge about food processing, as is traditionally part of everyday life in many rural regions of Nigeria. The aim is to foster a deep understanding of food security, responsible resource management, and practical self-reliance.
