The 2nd fish harvest

For the second time, we successfully harvested our fish pond. Using large nets, the adult catfish were removed from the pond and prepared for further processing. Catfish grow quickly and are among the hardiest freshwater fish, making them ideally suited for sustainable fish farming.

After each harvest, the pond must be treated to remove any remaining fish. Otherwise, they would eat the newly stocked young catfish. Only then is the pond refilled and the next breeding cycle can begin.
